DUBAI, UAE / RankWire.AI / July 16, 2026: Dubai-based carrier flydubai will add a second daily service between Dubai and Bangkok from July 18, doubling capacity on the route less than three weeks after its launch. The airline began daily flights from Dubai International Airport to Don Mueang International Airport on July 1 and said demand during the summer travel period supported the rapid frequency increase. The expanded flydubai Bangkok flights will operate from Terminal 3 at Dubai International, providing two daily departures to Thailand’s capital and widening the schedule available to leisure and business passengers travelling between the United Arab Emirates and Southeast Asia.

The additional Bangkok frequency, combined with flydubai’s increase in Krabi services from four flights a week to daily operations, will bring the carrier’s Thailand schedule to as many as 21 weekly flights. Bangkok is flydubai’s second destination in Thailand after Krabi and forms part of a broader Southeast Asian network that also includes Langkawi and Penang in Malaysia. The route gives the airline a direct link to Don Mueang, one of Bangkok’s two principal international airports, while adding more seats during a period when airlines serving Thailand are increasing schedules from the Gulf region.
Sudhir Sreedharan, flydubai’s divisional senior vice president of commercial operations, said the second daily flight follows strong early demand for the new Bangkok service. He said Don Mueang provides convenient access to central Bangkok and that the additional frequency gives customers greater flexibility during the busy summer travel period. The airline has not released booking or passenger-load data for the route. Its confirmed schedule change nevertheless moves the service from seven to 14 weekly flights, making the flydubai Bangkok flights a larger component of the carrier’s operations in Thailand from July 18.
The Bangkok service is available through the codeshare partnership between flydubai and Emirates. Under the arrangement, eligible passengers can book a single itinerary, check baggage through to their final destination and connect across a combined network of more than 240 destinations. The flights operate from Emirates’ Terminal 3 base at Dubai International, supporting connections through Dubai for travellers arriving from or continuing to markets across the Middle East, Europe, Africa and the Americas. The published schedule identifies Don Mueang International Airport as the Bangkok endpoint for both daily services, providing a direct connection between Dubai and Thailand’s capital.
Don Mueang gains additional Dubai service
Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Bangkok start at AED 12,000, while Economy Class Lite return fares start at AED 2,600, according to flydubai. From Bangkok, return Business Class fares start at THB 91,000 and Economy Class Lite fares at THB 21,000. The airline said the route is operated by Boeing 737 aircraft and highlighted cabin upgrades across its fleet, including lie-flat seats on selected Business Class configurations, redesigned Economy Class seating, meal service and inflight entertainment on most aircraft. Published fares remain subject to availability, booking conditions and the travel dates selected by customers.
The frequency increase comes as flydubai continues to add routes and capacity across its network. The carrier recently launched flights to Benghazi in Libya and is scheduled to begin service to Aleppo in Syria on July 20 and Pokhara in Nepal on September 23. flydubai says its network now covers more than 140 destinations in 58 countries, served by a fleet of 97 Boeing 737 aircraft. The airline reports carrying more than 137 million passengers since operations began in June 2009 and says it has opened more than 100 routes previously lacking direct Dubai links or service by a UAE national carrier.
Summer demand drives schedule increase
For Bangkok, the move represents an unusually fast expansion after the initial daily service began on July 1. The new twice-daily schedule from July 18 establishes 14 weekly Dubai to Bangkok flights alongside seven weekly Krabi services, creating flydubai’s 21-flight Thailand programme. The added frequency is bookable through the airline’s website, mobile application, contact centre, travel shops and travel partners. With the timetable confirmed, passengers can compare departure options, fare classes and onward connections through Dubai. The airline’s expansion also gives the Emirates codeshare network additional Bangkok capacity through Don Mueang during the peak summer travel season.
